iPod shuffle static

i notice when i plug in the pod headphones into the shuffle, play a song, pause the song.. theres a small sense of static i hear coming from the shuffle.. then i remove the speakers and obviously its gone.. put back speakers.. it comes back.. any ideas?

is it noticable when a song is playing?

very light static is normal for the iPod, and most audio devices.... if its noticable and irritating, then I would look into getting it exchanged.

nope, its not noticible during song playing so i guess im good
