I use VMWare Fusion to run XP for a couple of simple programmes I use at work. Is there any reason why I shouldn't just suspend my session in VMWare Fusion each time I finish, or is it better to 'Shut Down'?

All I am interested in is quick loading and quitting as I generally only need to run XP for a few minutes to get the information I need.

I don't want to screw up Windows though so it gets slower and slower over the days. I probably go into Windows two or three times a day, but as I say not for long.

I don't want to leave it running as I like to free up my memory :) I also don't like running it when online because I don't trust it!

I just close the VM, which suspends the machine, and I haven't had any problems with it.

If you want it to start up fast, then suspend it. You treat it like any other windows computer from there, it'll get bogged down if you don't restart it everyso often. If you do restart it, do it at the end of your sessions, then suspend it, so you don't need to wait, and it gets refreshed and isn't so slow anymore.
