Hey All,
I searched for this and haven't been able to fine any info about it. Anyways, I'm bringing my Core Duo Macbook 2.0 ghz in tomorrow morning to get it repaired after two logic board replacements (the first was bad). Last week, about a month after the replacements, my computer stopped going to sleep when I shut the lid. I have not knowingly installed any program to make this happen and I don't use peripherals. Not only will it not go to sleep when I shut the lid because the lid is shut, it will stay on!!!! ignoring the energy saving preferences that tell it to go to sleep in 15 minutes. If I don't shut the lid, it does that just fine. Having the computer not sleep is very annoying, and I don't know why it won't.
To fix the problem I have
Looked through all my prefs and programs for a culprit
Reset the PRAM/NVRAM
Reset the SMC
Reinstalled the operating system (Archive and Install)
Did I miss anything? Anybody else have this? It seems like it's a hardware issue, but if it might be fixed with out bringing it in that would be great.
