Shutting my Macbook?

I have all external stuff(LCD/Keyboard/Mouse) hooked up to my macbook so id like to be able to close the screen but it goes into sleep. I cant find anything in the preferences, im lost

btw: im a switcher so im still a newb to X

Once you close the shell and it goes to sleep you simply wake it by pressing any button on the external keyboard

If you press the F7 key when you have two monitors hooked up, you can switch to dual monitor mode instead of mirroring (which is probably why you have the black bars). So you'll have a full screen external LCD and the Macbook 13" to use

you are an idiot for not switching earlier though.


That is the funny thing- most things are so simple on the mac that we tend to make them harder than they really are and sometimes can't find them...I would not have thought to tap the keyboard either and I have been on the Mac for 17 years!
