Sick Mac Pro?

Hi,

I just turned on my Mac Pro after being out of town for a few days. Now, after I login it starts beeping continuously with an interval of one to two seconds. No apps are running.

I see lots of posts on the web about beeping on startup but not too many on beeping during normal running.

Is my Mac sick? Any ideas what the underlying cause could be?

Is it the infamous bad RAM beep you're hearing?

Ran the Apple Hardware Test and it passed OK. Turns out it was a background process failing at login. Doh!
