I'm seriously getting sick of seeing boobs and male organs flashing in my face every friggin time I open certain websites. I'm officially a pervert now for anyone that catches a glimpse of some websites because you can no longer tell even what the website is about.

Please tell me there's a solution to this?

I know you can install extensions and stuff but I wasn't sure it's safe?

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

An ad blocker (for example uBlock Origin) and a JavaScript blocker (for example JS blocker) in combination go a long way to a) limit the amount of ads you see, and b) limit the ability of ad sellers to give you ads based on your surfing habits..

Bolded the exact problem.

If the OP had been searching for a particular car recently, then all the ads would be about cars.

Whenever I browse for that sort of thing, I tend to receive ads for MacKeeper (and judging by MacKeeper's ad design, they don't seem terribly trustworthy).

I don't think that's the case. I'm a 37 year old woman. Why on earth would I be getting ads about male organ diseases or malfunctions? Unless I browse things while I'm asleep. The only thing relevant is they add random subjects with my "region" so FIND JOBS IN ----; FIND BABES IN ----; MEET HOT WOMEN IN -----; MALE ORGAN DYSNFUNCTION IN ----"

Anyway, I watch a lot of Korean sappy cheesy dramas and it's only in these websites that's literally there's like 90% horrible disgusting ads and 10% actual content.

I can't live without my Asian dramas at the moment so I need a solution to this.

I just wasn't sure whether these ad blocks are safe to use.
[doublepost=1529752221][/doublepost]90% of my browsing is art supplies and crafting related or looking at cute cats. I never ever got an ad about those- not even once, except banners advertising an online stationary which is like once in a blue moon.

Try AdBlock Plus . I've been using it for a while , works pretty well .

I second this advice; AdBlock - and AdBock Plus - are both very good; actually, I use it - AdBlock Plus - myself.

Avoid MacKeeper like the plague - it is the spawn of Satan - I made the mistake of downloading it years ago, and had to get it removed professionally.

Did you try to run MWB for Mac or not?

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

If that comes back clean, install some AdBlocks that users above have noted.

Looking at the clues here, I suspect your problem is that the Sappy Korean Drama websites are serving pirated content. If they're illegal sites, then they'll struggle to get legitimate ad networks, so they'll end up with all the icky ads that porn sites get. If I'm right--and I may not be--the quality of ads reflects who you're doing business with. I'd avoid those sites for fear of getting a malware infection or similar.
