Side by side mail compose

Hi all!

Anyone know how to activate side by side mail compose on ipad pro 12.9? See image.

I have tried sliding the message composer to the right like supposed to but it doesnt work...

Is that feature gone during the betas without me knowing it?

If its the case it would be really unfortunate since this looked like a really usefull feature... but il really looks like its not there cause there is no way to access it.

This may sound like a silly question and you are probably already aware of it but just in case... are you trying to activate mail side by side in landscape mode? I think it only works in landscape mode from what I've heard.... assuming the feature hasn't been removed.

I hope it hasn't as this was one of the features I was looking forward to.
