Sidebar is Broken

For some reason, the sidebar on the finder is not letting me put or remove any icons. All of the links I had there are gone.

I've searched this forum and didn't find anything relevant. I may be searching for the wrong thing. Thanks for your help in advance.

What Mac OS X version do you run?

Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, user account?

And when you want to remove something, do you hold down the COMMAND key while doing so?

Have you tried deleting "com.apple.finder.plist" in Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library / Preferences / yet?

click on finder, preferences, sidebar... mark your selections... if that doesn't work ?
