Can someone please tell me, What Macs and iPad pro can I use to connect to sidecar because the only option on my early 2015 MacBook air running Catalina on airplay 2 is the Apple TV option

Step 1: go to google.com
Step 2: enter "sidecar requirements" into that weird-looking rectangular box
Step 3: click "Google Search" or hit Enter

That is correct. You need at least a 2018 MacBook Air for Sidecar to work. I think it has to do with the fact that Sidecar requires Intel QuickSync which only became available with Skylake in late 2016.

Unless you upgrade, you are stuck with that method. You could also consider using an app call Shiftscreen. It may be of help to you.
