Hi all
The other sidecar thread I can find is almost exclusively addressing the use of officially unsupported hardware. I’m running a 2017 MacBook and 3rd-gen 12.9” iPad Pro, so should be fully supported. Both are on the most recent public versions of their respective software.
However, I cannot get any success with sidecar whatsoever. I’ve tried various combinations of logging out of iCloud on both devices, rebooting, disabling WiFi / Bluetooth etc. as well as different WiFi networks. I’ve connected via USB-C cable - the iPad shows up in Finder for sync purposes, but nothing else.
In Settings, there is either no option to select any device under “Connect to:” in the Sidecar pane, or the iPad does show up but times out when trying to connect - either wirelessly or when plugged in.
The MacBook will AirPlay to my AppleTV absolutely fine.
Any suggestions?!
