I have a 2018 iPad Pro and a Macbook Air early 2015 the iPad connects to the Macbook Air but the Macbook Air won't connect to the iPad for me Wirelessly. If I use a wired connection will it? Also if this is possible how are they connected?

What do you mean by "the iPad connects to the MacBook Air"?

As people told you yesterday, your MacBook Air doesn't work with Sidecar.

when Bluetooth is on both devices h iPad will connect to the Mac but not the other way around

That's not how Sidecar connects or functions. Unfortunately, you won't be able to test the way that it "works" because your MBA isn't compatible.

Well, its the way Apple asked me to try it with Bluetooth and handoff. yes but wasn't sure if the wire setup would make it work

Did you tell them the model of Mac you had?

The wire setup won't make it work. Buying a newer Mac will.
