MP 1,1-5,1 Sidecarfix kext - info/instructions?

Hi - can anyone explain how this works? Do you just drop in in the kexts folder and Lilu takes care of it from there or what? Do I need new airport card in 5,1 or works with original factory? Do I need to add stuff into OpenCore config for it to work?
Cannot find any info here or through google, its like its just assumed you know what to do!

it is the latest kext extension for sidebar implementation. It works in conjunction with lilu. The opencore post #1 has yet to be updated incorporating this likely it will be soon.

FeatureUnlock is the new name for SidecarFixup. Because this kext is maintained by Acidanthera and now incorporates the functionality of NightShiftEnabler, the OpenCore guide was updated this month with the installation of this kext.

Note, however, that this kext will not enable Sidecar on the Mac Pro (at least not with a configuration that enables AMD hardware acceleration).

OK thanks. I did look at that but couldn't find anything that explained how it worked etc. It seems that page (and most open core docs) is aimed at people very familiar with deep level Mac software and hardware knowledge - I'll have to wait till Martin or cdf get around to explaining it for 'the rest of us'

I already put the iMac19,1 SMBIOS on my config.plist, but where do I place that string to enable the feature? It said to sort of enable sidecar h265 on older macs

You need quick sync on non-T2 Mac spoofing. That means it is not going to work with Xeons. Only on I CPU's.

You can use FeatureUnlock to enable Night Shift. Sidecar will also appear in System Preferences but will not be functional.
