I have a mid 2013 MBA and from the moment I installed siera the fan just won't stop turning from 2-7000 RPM.
the battery goes out in a fraction of time and the temperature is really really up

why is this happening?
does anyone else experiencing these problems?

i had to download a fan control program just to make my macbook quiet again.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm playing an online game on my early 2014 MacBook Air and I got about 1.5 hour of battery life.

Even without running a game, I've noticed that my battery life on both my 2011 MacBook Pro and my 2014 MacBook Air are in the dumper after Sierra.

Have you checked the activity monitor if there are any CPU heavy processes running in the background? Maybe make an Etrecheck and post it here.

You have lots of absolutely unnecessary crap installed. A Mac is NOT a Windows PC! Please safely deinstall the following:

Macbooster
Diskwarrior
Elmedia Player
CleanMyMac
ToolsLite
Bitdefender

OK, I am too lazy to further check all that crap on your Mac. I am very sure that a combination of lots of unnecessary stuff stops your Mac from working properly. I'd seriously recommend to backup all your important data and make a clean install. I also recommend to change your way of thinking about macOS. It's NOT Windows. You don't need all those "helpers". Keep the system clean! What's nice about macOS is that almost everything you need for your everyday tasks is already built in.

this setup with all these "helpers" and useless according to your opinion were exactly the case in yosemite before the upgrade. therefore unless i am missing something they have absolutely nothing to do with the fan, temperature and battery issues i am having today.

also in activity monitor they don't eat much (if any) from cpu power apart from bit defender

i am more than 10 years into mac os therefore you may think you know your subject but if you cant present it with a useful manner to others it's of no use to anyone.

thanks anyway.

Well, do whatever you want, it's your Mac after all. But what do you want to hear? Don't ask for help if you're resistant against it. I don't have any of those "helpers" installed and my Mac is running fast and flawless. Despite your claim that you've been using macOS for 10 years my impression is that you're not very well informed about that system.

Some of this installed bloatware digs itself quite deep into the system. I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that especially in that combination none of it has an influence on your system.
