I just got my 2016 13" MBPtb. I also have a Dell U2515H 1440p 25" monitor that I would like to use along with the MBP. It connects fine (via Multiport av adapter --> HDMI cable) and displays 2560x1440@60hz.
However, if I set the resolution to anything other than native 1440p (which is too small for me at 25") it simply lowers the resolution, not offering the usual HiDPI modes. What I would like to do is have 1440p resolution output at 1080p (or close to) scaling.
I've googled this for quite a while, but haven't found a working solution. Apparently Sierra introduced this bug? Has anyone found a solution? I'd be willing to install a public beta if that solves it.
All answers are greatly appreciated.
