I have just updated to Sierra 10.12.1 from mountain lion on my iMac and I'm experiencing some problems:

When I boot the computer a box comes up saying "sharingd wants to use the "localitems" keychain - please enter the keychain password. So when I enter the password I use to install new software or access passwords on key chain it does not work. I do not share anything on my iMac apart from the printer.

It's the same when I want Safari to remember passwords the box comes up saying "Safari wants to use the "localitems" keychain - please enter the keychain password". Again I tried the keychain password and it didn't work. Also, when I go into safari security the passwords are locked and I don't have the password to unlock it. It wasn't locked before the update.

When I access a website and try to login the same box comes up preventing me from logging in. When I try to get into Keychain the box comes up " Keychain access wants to use the "localitems" keychain - please enter the keychain password". When I try the original password it doesn't work.

Whatever I do in Safari the box "localitems" keychain - please enter the keychain password" comes up again and again even when I click on cancel loads of times. It's so annoying I've stopped using Safari and use Firefox now. The only problem is that most of my passwords are either stored in Safari or Keychain.

Can someone please help me?

Thank you
