iPhone SE (2016) Sign in to iTunes store required often when opening apps

On my iPhone SE (1st gen on 12.0.1). I get this pop up "Sign in to iTunes store" from time to time when I open apps. I sign in and it works for a while a few days before it asks me to sign in again... Any idea how to fix it? Thank you!
