I've noticed a significant delay in the sound notifying me there's a new email in the mail app. I've tried disabling and re-enabling the notifications, re-adding my accounts etc, nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Sometimes I see the new email arrive while I have the Mail app open and then about a minute later the sound comes after I've already deleted the email itself.

Anyone else have this issue or figure out a solution? It's extremely annoying.

Same here. I usually hear the notification after I retrieve the email.

Got this too.
I think it's a bug when you have several mailboxes. If one of them causes delay for some reason, while the other mailboxes were already fetched for new messages, you might read new e-mails before the sound is played (= when the last mailbox has been processed).

That's exactly what I'm experiencing. I'm also having an issue where any emails I send with attachments are sent but a copy is retained in the DRAFTS folder. So annoying.
