My cMP has a SIL3132-based SATA card which has worked fine for years, but I've just upgraded to MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and the driver no longer works.
Actually it appears I can't even make MacOS use it (when I press the "Allow" button below nothing happens). UPDATE: the "allow" button has now gone away, probably after rebooting/powering down the computer.

Apparently that drive isn't compatible with 10.13, so does someone know of another one which is?
How to I de-install the driver that doesn't work?

Following is what System Report shows me about the driver (in the Extensions section). Based on this information, is there something I can do to make it work?

Oh, that's too bad ;)
Fortunately I don't need more than 5 drives at the moment, but in case I later do: which options do I have for cMP compatible SATA PCIe cards? Preferrably one that doesn't cost a fortune while still working well, and if possible without the need for a driver. Perhaps the last request is a bit far fetched though, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The only SATA PCIe card I've used was a OWC accelsior S with sata 3 speed (good for SSD) ~ € 50,-
There's no driver needed :)

Sonnet Tempo was a popular card too I think..

By now an NVMe adapter with blade costs about the same as a ssd with PCIE card, so they will get harder to find..

Found it: OWC Accelsior S. But as far as I can see it only supports a single SSD.
I meant a PCIe SATA card (similar to my SIL3132 but with 10.13 and higher compatibility) with 2 (or more) internal SATA connectors to allow for multiple SATA devices to be attached, such as this one from Startech (not sure if it's Mac compatible though):

The Sonnet Tempo you mentioned might be a better solution as it can take two 2.5" SSDs, but doesn't help if you want to use a 3.5" HDD mounted in the optical drive bay (then again the "lower" and unused SATA connector could be used for that, so maybe that's not a bad solution after all.

I agree: NVMe adapters are probably the way to go these days for a fast SSD solution, if that's all you need and not SATA.

Oh, I found out that one of the reasons my SIL3132 SATA PCIe card wouldn't work was simply that I couldn't load the drivers because I've been having issues accepting any kernel extensions (KEXTs) in the "security" preference panel. I've worked that part out now, but this is what I've been getting with the SATA card placed in the machine while booting (first the normal "progress bar" boot screen, then after a few seconds the following message):

It went away after removing the card.
