I love this feature but I wish there was a way to exempt or have an exception list for certain numbers without having to put them into your contacts. For example the other day I had an issue and needed to speak with Apple Support. They tried to call me but the number was silenced. I wish you could long press on the notification and have an option to add that phone number to an exception list. I’d rather than having to add to contacts.

I believe if you place and outgoing call to the number (even without it really fully connecting) it considers it as a "known" number at that point and would let it through (not sure how long that lasts for).

Hmm...I’ll have to try that.

It's also supposed to whitelist numbers that you received in text or emails. Apple should just send one of those as a courtesy reminded they will be calling, and then it will whitelist them.
