I installed one of those thin silicone keyboard protectors on my wife's 2017 MacBook Air, and to my surprise, it's not unpleasant to type on. My wife likes it too. It's useful for her since she uses it in the kitchen during baking and what not.
I had a little scare with my 12" MacBook recently, as my space bar started feeling mushy on one end. Luckily that was completely fixed with some compressed air. Now it works perfectly again, and has continued to work perfectly for the last several days. That got me thinking maybe I could use silicone keyboard protector with it, but I'm a little afraid about the clearance between the keyboard and the screen.
Has anyone used a silicone keyboard protector on their 12" MacBook?
