I picked up a new iPad Pro 10.5" (was going to buy the 11" but chose not to because of the bend issue). I bought a Griffin case for the iPad but the buttons were so hard to push I couldn't use the buttons so I dumped that and bought a folio but now the iPad has no protection and it already fell from the folio slant flat on its face on concrete. It doesn't look like any lasting damage was done that affects performance but I'd like to prevent this from happening again in the future. Also I hate how cold the aluminum gets to touch.

Apple doesn't appear to make a Silicone case for iPad, which I would love to buy--one that is folio friendly. Tech 21 makes cases but they are thick and bulky and have a pencil holder on the side which I don't use. I prefer something not super bulky.

Anybody know a reputable, quality company that makes a good folio friendly case that is similar to the thinness an Apple Silicone case for iPad would look like and operate like?

I have an Apple Smart Cover which in a round about way feels like I have a true Folio case on it. When traveling I put in my old Timbuk2 Plush sleeve. You could put it in a 11in Computer sleeve which is a lot easier to carry than a folio case.

Poetic Slimline case has a clear back and a smart cover. Have you looked into one of those? I bought several for family members for their gadgets. The last one was a Poetic Rugged case.

When the folio part is folded around to the back, does it magnet/stick to the back of the case? I wish manufacturers would design for this.

Sorry I thought you were looking for the 9.7 iPad. (wrong link)

I'm not sure if the Poetic case does that fold back feature. The Apple Smart Cover does. So why not just get that? Its what I used on my last iPad and now my current one. The Smart Cover feels a lot better than the one I have for my iPad 3rd gen. I like the slim look of it Most of the cases I looked at for the IPP but most of them had that pencil holder on them which I didn't want. I keep my pencil in the bag or box. I found the Smart Cover for around $10-30. I caught mine when Apple discontinued the white one. You can look around Best Buy and Target for deals.

I dislike how the sides of the iPad are not covered. They become very cold to touch and I dislike that coldness and the metal feeling. I would prefer a softer touch. Plus I would like some kind of protection (even if minimal) along with a minimal lip to protect the screen from gentle face plants etc.
