Just a silly question from a newbie...

I'm getting an iBook in a week and an iMac as soon as updates are out.. I have a lame dial-up connection at home and a great broadband connection at work.. I was wondering: is it possible to get all the software updates for a new mac from a pc, save them on a usb pen and then transfer them onto the mac?
It's just that the 64MB panther update is gonna be such a pain on my dial-up..

Most computers don't give a hooey about what it is you download, it's when you go to install it that you run into issues. Anyway, DLing onto your PC and transfering onto a USB pen should work. I usually do all the large upgrades for my Aunt's iMac as she has dial up and I have a broadband connection. I just DL them, burn them up and send them over her way.
