Is it the first day? Or do they wait until the keynote? I've never investigated this matter, but I'm only curious because of ordering and shipping logistics.

Yes, Tuesday is announcement day. But the conference/expo itself starts Monday, just to have the facts correct here.
Conference: Monday thru Friday

Keynote speech: Tuesday, 9am to 10:30am

Exhibits: Tuesday (11am) thru Friday

No live webcast. A QuickTime video of the keynote should be available on Apple's web site by the end of the day, judging by their past habits. The front page of MacRumors.com has information, and will have information, about getting live updates during the keynote, what is announced, and a link to the keynote video when it is available.

Many thanks. In the future, can the gods try to remember to slip this information into things like the Rumor Roundup? It's that vital piece of info that usually ends up being left out, leaving us to hunt it down.

Kind of like the news stories on the radio about the price of stamps going up today "from 37 cents". OK, from 37 to what? I knew it was 37. Tell me the important part! ;)

Thankies!!!
