What are the chances of Apple releasing a silver/aluminum macbook?

Zilch...they want to differentiate between their consumer line and their pro line.

They struggle to keep the MBs cool as they are and aluminium wouldn't help the situation.

Actually, it would. Aluminum is a great conductor, so it does a terrific job of moving the heat away from the internals (and into your lap, as we've seen with the MBPs).

I would expect that there is a better chance of a 12" MacBook Pro (which is still very unlikely) than a silver macbook. It's like asking for a white Mac Pro. There is reasoning behind the colors.
