I've tried extracting the Silverlight Internet plugin from the 2.0 installer, and then dropped it into the INternet plugins folder on my AppleTV via Fugu, but I'm guessing that it takes more than that. Couchsurfer displays the nbcolympics.com web page with two blank boxes with the little building block in each. I wanted to watch the Olympic coverage from their on the TV via couchsurfer, but can't find any information regarding how to get silverlight to work on couchsurfer. Any help would be appreciated.

Bumping this thread in light of the Netflix announcement to support Macs via Silverlight.

Has anyone gotten Silverlight to work on an AppleTV?

I took the Silverlight 2.0 Plugin, and was able to get Firefox recognize it on my AppleTV. "about:plugins" show's that SilverLight is registered for the appropriate mime types.

However, when i headed over to "nbcolympics.com" and tried to view a few videos, i only got a blank spot where the video player should be, and if i right clicked, i was able to see "spotlight preferences", however it would not open it. I will play with it a bit tonight when i get home, and post any progess i might make.

Would be nice to be able to use my netflix subscription for something other than the "chick flix" my fiance sneaks into the queue...

You need to get all verdona and arial fonts from your mac
copy it to:
/Library/Fonts

This should work

Tried the Fonts, tried adding System Preferences, and the PreferencePanes as well. No luck so far. going to keep trying till i find it. I get nothing in the CrashReporter, and nothing in console.log that tells me anything about Silverlight failing or errors.

going to keep on trucking though.

I found a solution and I posted it on:
http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Firefox#Adding_Plug-In.27s_.28AppleTV.29

I got the list of the fonts at:

You should be good with those fonts:

I have loaded silverlight 2.0 and it works great. Checked it at the website www.silverlight.net/fox video comes up clear as day. I have loaded the core audio kit frame work.
