There is a website that I use to upload photos. It uses the Silverlight plugin. It seems to work sometimes and not work other times. I had issues in the past and then I found it working one day (Safari). I haven't used it to update photos in awhile. I tried today but can't get it to work again. I select the photos that I want to upload and get a ! message. I did some searching and found that I can go into Preferences then to Security. I selected the option to always trust the site that I upload the photos to. That didn't work. I tried in Chrome but get this message when I try to install Silverlight there -

You can’t open the application “Silverlight (4).exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X.

Also tried Firefox with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Silverlight sounds like a dying technology. If the site offers u another way to upload, use that instead.

I wish there was another way but it's what the site uses. I have the newest version of Silverlight.

I select the photos that I want to upload. Click upload then see this -

I used to see the photo sizes, click upload and then be all set.

I kind of fixed my problem. I bought a Dell computer running Windows 8. It's not a Mac but it gets the job done. And the only thing it will be used for is to upload some photos.

I thought my upgrade to El Capitan caused it to work but I found that if I try to upload photos from my computer, it won't work but it will work if I upload them from an SD card. Maybe this info will help us figure this out.
