I have a MacBook Pro that meets all the specs for Sims 3 and after initially installing the game from the dvd-rom, it stopped reading the dvd-rom and ejecting it. I uninstalled all components and tried to reinstall and it will not read. It just ejects it over and over again. I saw on other forums where people were having this problem, but no solutions. Please help. Too much money to waste to not be able to play the game. Again, I know my computer meets all the specs. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bad disc?

Discs only get ejected if they are unreadable. I have had a look around and your not alone. Other people from both PC and Mac have had to return their copies for a new one as the disc keeps getting ejected after install or during.

When did you buy this? Have you managed to play it at all?

I haven't played it at all. I installed it, but after it finished installing it stopped reading the disc.

A friend of mine bought The Sims 3 at Walmart the week it was released and after she installed it (which took a while), hers wouldn't play either. I bought a copy online and mine worked fine. Some of the discs were damaged and after they replaced hers it worked fine.
