I bought iPhone 1st generation on eBay for fun, but I cannot activate it without sim card and I tried two nano simcards from Verizon and T-Mobile with an adapter, but neither are compatible with iPhone 1st generation. I called Apple support, but they couldn't provide me an answer. Do you know where can I find sim card, any size (as I'm using adapter) that would work with this ancient iPhone? Or any other way to activate it without sim card, preferably without jailbreaking.

You will need an AT&T SIM card since the first iPhones were tied to AT&T. The activation should work with an active or inactive SIM.
