hey hey,

so, my girlfriend has a t-mobile account and her phone has a t-mobile sim card. that card has all of her contacts and phone numbers/email addresses stored on it.

if i were to unlock my iPhone and put her SIM card into the iPhone, would her SIM card data remain? or would the iPhone erase any of her data?

i'm really anxious to try an unlock, but if it means i screw up all of my girlfriend's info, i don't want to do that and make her mad at me.

thanks,
rob

OK this is from my experience only. When i unlocked i tested 3 different sims ( O2, TMobile, Vodafone ) all SIMS worked before and after and no data was erased as all updates were done via iTunes.

phew. ok.

i unlocked the phone last night and used her sim card. no problems. i put the card back in her phone and all of her contacts were still there.

that's a good thing to know. i wasn't sure what was going to happen, but thankfully all is well.

thanks for the help!
