My wife and I have first gen iPhones. I recently got a 3G.
My old iPhone works better than my wife's current.
Can we just swap the sim cards and have her use my old one after I restore and backup? Or do I have to involve ATT?

Thanks

Your wife can just put in her SIM card in your old iPhone; then restore the phone and sync it.

I tried to do that with a friend's phone just now and iTunes keeps asking me to activate a new phone. I slipped my sim into my friend's iPhone and restored to factory settings, but the only option I have now is to activate a new phone.

Help?

Yeah that's why you have to sync it ;)
