I just got my 3GS and have the 3G. I synced up the S and everything transferred just fine. Do I need to take the SIM card out of my 3G and put it in the S??

The guy at the Apple store told me not to use the old SIM from the 3g in the GS. I would have to call AT&T to do that. He said just use the new one. As long as you had everything synced from your old phone things should go very smoothly. I had no problems and did not lose any data.

Same here. I was going to put my 3G SIM in, but I followed the Genius' advice and didn't and my phone was activated within seconds and after the sync everything was as it should be. :)
