well...this is a disappointment for all SC fan boys.

It's not developed by Maxis, another company developing it(don't remember the name)

the bad news it that it will not have the things that the previous SC had, it will have brand new mechanism.
what i mean is that you wont build pipe line or power plants nor "zone the marks and let it grow by it self". Instead you will have to "take care" the sims who lives in there.
This game will have some similarity with Citylife(name?)

the good news is that it will support mac:apple:!

to make a discussion, what do you think about the "new" Simcity?

Looks interesting.

Must say, I'm disappointed that the Sim City franchise isn't following the direction it was going with Sim City 4. I thought the integrations of SimRegions was brilliant. I was also hoping they'd focus on providing real regional variations (i.e. - more European architecture with opportunity to develop authentic looking non-grid based cities). This new one looks more like its narrowing it's focus - bridging the gap between The Sims and the Sim City's of old.

The most worrying thing is that it just becomes a Ceaser or Pharoah city-building type game put in a modern setting.
