SIM Swaps between iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4?

Anyone use an adapter to swap SIM cards between an iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4?

I'll probably pick up a Galaxy S4 in a few weeks, but WILL NOT be getting rid of my iPhone 5, and want the ability to switch back and forth at will, without a visit to the AT&T shop for a new SIM every few weeks.

What adapter and where did you get it specifically? Any pitfalls, or tech issues?

I use sim adapters to switch between my iPhone 5, LGOG, One, and Note 2. The key is to get high quality ones and NEVER (I repeat NEVER) store the SIM adapter in your Android phone without the SIM card attached to it. If you put it in the phone without the SIM, it can get hung up on the connectors and bend or break them. I almost learned this the hard way when I had my Galaxy Nexus.

I picked up a 5 pack of Nano SIM to Micro SIM adapters from here:

They're located overseas (in the UK I believe), but they ship extremely fast (I think I had them within 4-5 days IIRC). I like these because the nano SIM doesn't just sit on them, but actually snaps into them. I've had absolutely zero problems using them and I switch back and forth on a daily basis.

*edit* Also remember to deactivate iMessage on your iPhone 5 before removing the SIM. If you don't, you won't receive messages sent as iMessages on the Android phone.

The adapter I have now doesnt hold on to the nano sim so the nano sim often falls out when trying to insert it into the S4.

Are you saying that the ones you have, the nano sim actually clicks into place?

Because I live in the UK this wont help, but just for information I got an adapter from my carrier (O2), works perfectly.

Perfect advice. I don't use the adapters in his link but rather these I picked up off Amazon. The sim just rests in the adapter so if you plan on switching often, I'd steer you elsewhere--I've passed my iPhone onto my wife but still use the nanosim, in case I prefer to try another iPhone at anytime in the future.

And his advice about not leaving the adapter in the phone without a sim is good advice--screwed up an old Note that way myself.

Yep, they actually snap into the adapter. These kind are definitely the way to go. And even though the company I linked is overseas, they get them to you very quickly.

Thanks for the link. Was getting tired of going back to ATT to get a new sim going back and forth between my 5 and HTC One.

You shouldn't have to do anything but pop your nano sim into the adapter (assuming you already have the iPhone 5) and put it in the new Android phone. AT&T will automatically detect that you're using a different phone and change your account. It shouldn't change your plan, though. I do it constantly.
