Call T-Mobile. They are the only ones that can request the unlock. If you paid off the phone, they should unlock it.

I’ve seen all kinds of crazy hacks advertised, but since those are not exactly legitimate, some are scams

They said it has to be active on their Network for certain amount of days I can't remember. That's why I went ahead and activated it I'll try to speed things up so I have to carry around two phones. Yeah yeah I seen the scams in the Shady websites that basically on your IMEI number.

I think Verizon has a similar policy. They claimed it was because iPhones were getting stolen in transport. It should only be a few months. I would activate it on their cheapest plan.

I believe T-Mobile needs the device to be paid off & it has to be on their network for at least 40 days. I know Verizon will automatically unlock the phone after 60 days on their network w/ payments still being made.

You're probably going to just have to wait the 40 days + pay the device off before unlocking. If you have any promos, it's probably not going to be worth it, at least in my opinion.
