EA just announced that the Mac version of SimCity will be available June 11th. If you own the PC version, you get the Mac version for free.

One weird thing from their post:

Q: Will the Mac version support Retina display?
A: We have not yet determined if we have Retina display support.

It's two months out - how do you not know this?

This is good news! We finally have a date to look forward to other than "Spring". I am now considering buying the PC version and doing a BootCamp install since I know that I can get the Mac version as well and continue playing on OS X later.

Don't rush into buying the game.

The PC version of it has horrible reviews in Amazon.

This was one game I was looking forward to buying. I'm so glad I waited a few days to make my decision.

Yep, I know. I've been following all of our [MacRumors] threads and user comments on the game and it' issues.

I may still buy it though.

The bad rating on Amazon was from the initial release of the game when they had massive server issues. As far as I know, they have all been sorted out now. I was hoping for a late April/early May release. June 11th sucks.
