similarities between iPhones cracking

I just noticed I crack on my iPhone. Then I looked around and found someone who had a crack in the SAME exact place. Here's their iPhone:

Also, does anyone think Apple will cover this under warranty? I don't really care about the crack right now, but I know that it will bring the re-sale value down when I decide to sell it.

Possibly. That's a stress crack. They'll probably replace it for you with a refurb.
