I'm looking to build a paludarium and would like to model it out in advance. I tried doing it 2D (Affinity Designer) but it really needs to be 3D so I can move things around inside a rectangular cube.

I downloaded FreeCAD, but really, it's like learning a whole new language--just when I thought I was getting the hang of it things wouldn't work as I thought they would.

I don't need nearly its power--the shapes are mostly simply. Is there anything for the Mac that would be good for this.

I recently downloaded Shapr3D and have been please with it. There is a free version and paid version, but the free version does everything I need (3d rendering for woodworking). It does have a learning curve but there are good tutorial videos that a worth the time to watch.
