Simple app to "beep" each other.

Is there a simple app for the iPod touch that lets one user "beep" another. What I mean is a simple thing. Like, launch the app, select someone on your address list or whatever, and "beep" them. Like a quick notify. Without having to type anything. Maybe like a 'poke' app. Not sure if anything like that is out there.
