I've got a media library of about 1.3 gb on a 2gb external drive. I just bought a new 2gb drive to use for backup. What is the easiest way to do this automatically. I just want the second drive to mirror the first.

Time machine is not an option. I've already got a separate drive which is a TM server for two macs and there isn't enough free space.

What about just keeping a copy of the same folder on two different drives?

Does the OS or any app do checksums to make sure they are exact copies.

I've had problems with this in the past, where one file ends up being corrupted, and unfortunately I backed up the double, deleted the original off the internal drive, so neither of my two copies would play in QuickTime.

How is Chronosync?

Chronosync is very good, easy to use and versatile. The scheduling means you don't have to remember to do anything.
