I need to do some very simple GIS work and would far prefer to work at home on my mac then in the office.
I have TNTmips (free and runs in x11) and GRASS (open Source and runs in x11) however both are amazingly complex and detailed and I don't know enough about GIS to use them efficiently.
I am looking for an OSX native app that will open an ArcGIS Shapefile and allow me to edit the data table, create a legend, and scale and label the various segments of the map.
No statistics or spatial analysis, just the simple stuff. Don't need to actually create a shapefile, will be starting with them.
I haven't been able to find a solution, but I am hoping somebody has seen something.
Thanks in advance
