Is there any simple, lightweight IDE for OS X out there such that I can just open a C++ file/create a bare source code file, work on it and then both compile and run it just like you can do with Dev-C++ on Windows without creating projects or fiddling with command line compiling? I googled for some time but found nothing and I reckon there has to be something like this.

Sublime might do this... If it doesn't do it from the moment you open it, I'd be willing to bet money that one of the hundreds of plugins available for it adds the functionality.

Oh my, completely forgot about Sublime's ability to compile from within the editor. Exactly what I wanted, thanks a lot :)
