I don't know if I'm in the right section of the forum, but bare with me.

All I want to do with my photos is flip them horizontally. (Flip>horizontal on microsoft paint)

Like mirror image basically. Can I do this with iPhoto?

Thanks

Preview is a totally separate app. You could set it as your external editor in the iPhoto preferences. Then right click on a photo and choose "Edit in External Editor". This should open the image in Preview. When you save it it should update the one in iPhoto.

You might want to try the following apps which more resembles MS Paint

http://seashore.sourceforge.net/
http://www.xtralean.com/IWOverview.html

Both free!

Ok, I just looked back on the pictures I edited, and it's totally messed up. When viewing my library, the pictures are in their original form, it's only when I open them (in preview) that they are in their edited form. How can I permanently edit these photos?

Like just do it once (in any program, even if I use the ones you just suggested) and it will keep that change in iPhoto library as well?

This is a hassel, don't shoot me, but Windows is a lot more user friendly =\ *crys
