I pwned my oldschool iphone with 2.0 so that I could have the appstore and be jailbroken. However with no more 3rd party support, i could honestly care less if I am jailbroken or not.

I downloaded an app from the app store and it crashes at a certain point every time i run it, however the app seems to work fine for everyone else. I was thinking of just restoring the phone to a legit 2.0 via itunes and trying that out as a possible fix. I have tried removing and reinstalling the program with no luck, as well as restarting the phone with no luck.

if I decide to just restore the phone with the official 2.0 do I need to do a dfu restore or just restore it normally?

thanks for all the wonderful responses and help from the members of this forum!

RIIIIGGGHHTHTTTT! Thanks for nothing.

I did DFU restore the phone after getting tired of apps being real flaky. and my apps work great again. I am gonna try restoring the backup now to get my contacts and messages back and see if the phone acts crazy again.

update... restoring the backup of the phone really screwed it up again..LOL

however it would run long enough for me to get a few contacts off that I didnt have written down... so now doing another regular restore and setting up as a new phone.
