Is anyone else having a problem with installing/using Simplify Media. I've installed it on both my Mac and iPhone 3G, and it just says 'Scanning Libraries' constantly on my Mac, and 'connecting to libraries' on my iPhone.

Can anyone think of what I'm doing wrong?

Is your library large? Is it in your user directory or on an attached drive?

If A, then wait and let it run. Mine took over 30 hours.

If B, then share the directory where the actual music is located and the file where the iTunes library data is in your home directory's music folder in the Simplify Media preferences.

For me, it was A and B.

if you named your iPhone using the apple logo character, it won't connect to their server. If this is the case, delete the iPhone app and reinstall. It should work.

thanks for the replies. How big is big for an iTunes library? Mine is around 11gb...

Do you need to keep it running just on your computer or the phone as well?

Thanks!

you just need to keep it running on the cpu. I found if my macbook sleeps, its ok, but if i close the cover, it disconnects me.. You need to keep the app opened on your iphone only when you are listening to music, as no apps can run in the background

This might be OT, but I just downloaded iTunes and Simplify Media at work, how do I connect to my music in iTunes at home? Thats where all my music is. I have the people I invited that are showing up, but how do I get my own? Sorry for the stupid question, but new to Simplify Media...

EDIT: Nevermind, had my husband at my house turn my computer on. Now I got it....duhhhhh
