If Aspyr is so confident in it running in Rosetta, that it did not release a Universal Binary, I'm sure it runs great/fine.

Are you looking for Sims 2 or Sims?

I bought the original The Sims for the Mac at CompUSA for $5. I don't really remember how well it played, but if that's what you're looking for, I'll dig it up and give it a try.

Aspyr released various patches for Sims 2 to make them Universal. You can download them from HERE and yes Sims 2 runs very well on an Intel Mac.

If you have the option, get Sims 2 for Windows instead. You have the option to have smooth edged with antialiasing, and the animation is much smoother as well. Not sure if it was open gl problems with the port or what.

I have Sims 2 and played it most of today on my MBP. Sweet! I got laid four times.
