Tonight I put the sims 2 bon voyage disc in and I get the message that the sims 2 has quit unexpectedly. I just played it 2 days ago. Any ideas?

I can only think of a couple of things that might or might not cause a problem. Did you install another Expansion Pack since you installed Bon Voyage? If so you likely have to put the new EP dvd in now to play. What about custom downloads? If so remove those and try again.

I've been having similar trouble with all my games. Are you on Leopard? Try reinstalling 10.5.4 using combo updater. It worked for me.

same problem

I played Sims 2 last night, it was fine. I downloaded a security update today and the Sims "Unexpectedly Quit" when I tried to start it. I restarted the computer and it was fine after that. Hopefully it is as simple as rebooting for you, if not you may want to reinstall any recent updates (such as the 10.5.4 updater as listed above).

Thank you

That did the trick. I too had done the security update. Shutting down and restarting worked. thanks so much

i had the exact same problem. after updating to the latest security patch, the sims 2 would "unexpectedly quit" even though it ran just fine minutes before the update. a quick reboot brought everything back to normal.
