Sims 2 question for Macbook

I've got the Sims 2 and a few expansion packs for windows (no Mac versions) and I want to play on my white macbook.

I was wondering if there's any way of converting it to mac??

I don't want to spend loads on buying the same game but in the mac version.

This might be a really dumb question as I'm not that great with computers but if anyone could help that'd be great!

Run it in Windows.

In addition MacBooks aren't very good at running games.

Just run it through bootcamp partition. I do and it works great, so I disagree with the above poster. I will concede however that my blackbook does get a bit warm while playing it, so i wouldn't suggest playing it on your lap for an extended period of time. That said, it runs beautifully! Make sure that you leave enough space in the bootcamp for it though, since the game can get kind of big, especially if you buy the other EPs and download other stuff. (I have 50 GBs for it, I had 32, but after installing vista ultimate, norton, Office enterprise, and just casual docs, I only had 10 GBs left and most of that would go to the games alone, nevertheless the downloaded content.)

PS: I find it's good that I have the game in the bootcamp partition since it forces me to only play the game when I know I have time to and won't get "sidetracked" by the urge to sim!

Rosie, just re'd to you, sorry for the long delay again. Gotta say, with the upgrad of my blackmac to 4GB from newegg, wow is it fast! Love it, 2GBs played fine, no real noticeable lags, but the 4gbs handles it wonderfully. There is rarely a lag, and at that, its only when going into or coming out of a transition scene, or when one sim drives to work while i am focused on the other sims in the house.

On my older PC, i would never have dreamed of building a 5 story house, but with the up'd RAM, I built an awesome 'warehouse convert' reminiscent of the Real World Chicago house (the one with the elevator).

On a sims note, I find creating 'Real World' esque houses quite useful for the Sims. It allows the other sims in the neighborhood to have someone to lust after, while also giving you the fun time of having a monstrous household of 8 sims all interacting with each other.
