I just got The Sims 3 and it keeps randomly crashing. Also, the grass and rocks in the towns are all blurry. Some patterns on the sims' clothing are also kinda blurry. Does anyone else have the same problem? I don't know what's causing all this. Here are my MacBook Pro specs:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Boot ROM Version: MBP81.0047.B0E
SMC Version (system): 1.68f96
(Graphics) Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 3000

I don't use Time Machine so that can't be the problem. I think it might be the processor though. On The Sims 3 cover it says "Intel Core Duo Processor", but mine is Intel Core i5. Or could it be my graphics card? I don't know much about computers so I don't know if my processor would have any effect on the game. Help?

It's a mystery how The Sims plays well on some machines and not others. I have 2006 iMac and The Sims runs beautifully. I hope I dont have any problems with my new comp - we'll soon see!

ETA: I appreciate that my post didn't help your query, hopefully someone will be able to assist. :)
