OS X Sims 3 not installing

So I have a Mac Book Pro and I recently tried to install the Sims 3 and it gets to the downloading phase and it will stop at like 39% or some random number like that and it won't go any further. This has happened multiple times.

These are my specs:
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)

Where are you installing it from? Some store online? Disc?

Are you sure there are no scratches? I would also give the disk a clean.
