When EA first announced Sims 4 they said it would be for PC and Mac but since then I've only seen references to PC. Does anyone know if they are just going to release the Mac version later or if they decided not to make it for the Mac? If it's the latter then this is very disappointing.

If EA are doing it themselves it'll probably be a delayed launch like with Sim City.
Although There might also be a chance that Aspyr are porting it, due to them having done some previous ones.

I would rather wait for a mac native version that have another really ****** port.

The sims 3 port was horrific, my performance on my bootcamp partition was easily double the framerate and half the loading times.

That's always the case, although I'd rather Aspyr take the time for a native/good port than EA just rushing something out as well.

We'll have to see what happens, although considering how good Aspyr and Feral ports are lately I think it'll be very good.

…which is exactly what EA did with The Sims 3. Aspyr didn't have a hand in that port, it was a Transgaming made Cider wrapper.

Does it even classic as a port if it's a wrapper or using cider? I've never seen anything with decent performance lately using Cider. :(

If EA does the port themselves, I doubt they'd go the cider route again as they ported SimCity natively.
